Public call for nominations for the 2024 "Krunoslav Sukić" Peace Award and Accolades
The „Krunoslav Sukić“ Award and Accolades are intended for individuals, organizations and institutions for their special contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms and the consistent promotion of the culture of peace and non-violence in Croatia and its surroundings. It also includes initiatives from the Western Balkan countries that have an impact on peacebuilding in the Republic of Croatia.
Nominate for peacebuilding efforts in Croatia and the Western Balkans! Nominations are accepted from September 5 to November 5, 2024!

Natural and legal persons can nominate. It is necessary to fill out an online application form with written recommendations.

The prize consists of a plaque-thank you note and a cash amount of EUR 700.

- The „Krunoslav Sukić“ PEACEBUILDING SCHOOL Award
The recognition consists of a plaque - a certificate of appreciation and a reward educational and study visit of a group of students and teachers of the awarded school to Osijek and Vukovar.
Over the past fifteen years, the award has become a recognizable place of gathering, thanksgiving, celebration and encouragement for peacebuilding efforts in Croatia, as well as the region. It has a national, regional and international reach. Its reputation lies in the richness of excellence and dedication of its winners. We present it as a „common ground“ the laureates are different in many ways and come from different social classes, groups and generations, and what they have in common is a commitment to a peaceful society.
