The results of the competition will be published on the Award's website. The ceremony for announcing the award and accolades and presenting the charter will be held on December 11 at 12 noon in the ceremonial foyer of the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, along with the celebration of International Human Rights Day.

The Krunoslav Sukić" award for promoting peacebuilding, nonviolence and human rights

The following documentation is required for application: completed application form, candidate's CV, two written recommendations.

The "KRUNOSLAV SUKIĆ" AWARD FOR THE PROMOTION OF PEACEBUILDING, NONVIOLENCE AND HUMAN RIGHTS is intended for individuals for their activities in the Republic of Croatia, i.e. for actions that have an impact on building sustainable peace and a culture of non-violence in the Republic of Croatia and its surroundings, the countries of the Western Balkans. The award is a recognition for persistent, courageous and inclusive resistance to violence, for the application of non-violent methods in the protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms, for the transformation of social conflicts and disputes, and for encouraging creative, solidarity-based and cooperative responses to threats to peaceful sustainable development.
 
The prize consists of a plaque and a cash amount of EUR 700.00.
 
The author of the artistic design of the plaque of the Award is prof.dr.sc. Ivan Doroghy, professor of graphic design at the Design Study of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb.
The "Krunoslav Sukić" Accolade for the promotion of peacebuilding, nonviolence and human rights
The following documentation is required for the application: a completed application form, CV of the candidate or a description of the initiative/organization, at least one written recommendation.
THE "KRUNOSLAV SUKIĆ" Accolade FOR THE PROMOTION OF PEACEMAKING, NONVIOLENCE AND HUMAN RIGHTS is intended for individuals, organizations, societies, civic and other initiatives that promote peacebuilding, nonviolence and the protection of human rights in Croatia and its surroundings, the countries of the Western Balkans: for their resistance to violence; for the application of non-violent methods in the protection and promotion of human rights and freedoms, the resolution of social conflicts, disputes, as well as for creative approaches and achievements in building sustainable peace in the local community; through socially engaged art; encouraging social, ecumenical and interreligious dialogue; non-violent actions, etc.
 
The accolade is a plaque - a letter of thanks.
The "Krunoslav Sukić" Accolade for the BOOK OF THE YEAR 2023/2024
The following documentation is required to apply: a completed application form.
THE "KRUNOSLAV SUKIĆ" BOOK OF THE YEAR 2023/2024 accolade is given to the authors of a book published in Croatia or in one of the Western Balkan countries, which stands out for its contribution to creating an atmosphere of better understanding and motivation for peacebuilding, non-violent action, protection and promotion of human rights and the development of civil society.
 
Conditions: The proposed book is a bound printed limited (monographic) publication of at least 49 pages that was published in the Republic of Croatia or one of the Western Balkan countries in 2023 or 2024 and cataloged in the National and University Library in Zagreb (it has an ISBN mark), i.e. the reference institution of the country in which it was published.
 
The Accolade is a plaque - a letter of thanks.
 
The "Krunoslav Sukić" PEACEBUILDING SCHOOL Accolade
The following documentation is needed for the application: a completed application form, a description of the school, at least one written recommendation.
The "Krunoslav Sukić" Peacebuilding School Accolade was introduced in 2015 for primary and secondary schools that promote education for the application of non-violent methods in conflict resolution and active citizenship, and participate in solidarity in improving the life and sustainable development of their school and local communities.
 
The Peacebuilding School Accolade consists of a plaque - a certificate of appreciation and a rewarding educational and study visit of a group of students and teachers of the awarded school to Osijek and Vukovar.
